We are big fans of Bob Dylan here at SmokeSmith Gear, and we make no secret of that. He's an inspiration to us in many ways (we hope to make the world a better, more peaceful place through what we offer, just way to Dylan does with his music).
But would the world have had the Dylan we know without the creative effects of cannabis? Probably not, as detailed in this story, which explores how pot influenced Dylan's musical journey. Dylan didn't consider marijuana to be a drug, and he extolled it's mind bending virtues. "I think everybody’s mind should be bent once in a while," Dylan told Playboy magazine in the early 60s.
There's also the fact that Dylan introduced The Beatles to pot. It happened in a hotel room in 1964. And if that chance meeting hadn't have happened the world likely would not have seen the creation of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Clubs Band, which celebrates is 50th anniversary this week.
