Poor Jess Sessions. As if the "beleaguered" Attorney General doesn't have enough trouble, what with President Donald Trump lambasted him daily on Twitter, he is now being named in a lawsuit to legalize marijuana filed by, among other, former New York Jets Marvin Washington.
Washington, who retired in 1999, left the NFL to open a hemp based business and is a vocal advocate for medical cannabis and recreational marijuana. According to reports on the lawsuit it "challenges 1970 Controlled Substance Act, which determined that marijuana is a dangerous substance".
Like many former pro athletes Washington understand the medicinal and pain relief benefits of relaxing after a game with a nice bong, pipe or vape full of ones favorite stash. Sessions, for his part, has vigorously stood in the way of legislation of cannabis and medical marijuana. Washington, a former defensive end, is not somebody we would want to mess with. We're just not certain Sessions is that smart.
